Who Are We?
Child Evangelism Fellowship® is a Bible-centered organization composed of born-again believers whose purpose is to evangelize boys and girls with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and to establish and disciple them in the Word of God and in a local church for Christian living.
For over 65 years, Child Evangelism Fellowship of Oregon, Inc., Jackson County Chapter has been serving the Southern Oregon cities of Ashland, Talent, Phoenix, Medford, Jacksonville, Central Point, White City, Gold Hill, Sams Valley, Eagle Point, Shady Cove, Trail, and Butte Falls.
We partner with churches in training and equipping volunteers to minister in the community through programs such as Good News Club® during the school year and 5-Day Club® outreaches in the summer.
We also support and equip teens (ages 13-18) to do local ministry within the community through our summer training program Christian Youth In Action® (CYIA™).
The Bible in public schools?
Yes! The Supreme Court ruled in 2001 in Good News Clubs v. Milford Central School that Good News Clubs can meet in public schools after school hours on the same terms as other community groups. Public school Good News Clubs are an asset to schools and do not add any cost or liability to the school district. Children who wish to participate stay after school one hour per week and must have a signed parental permission slip. Parents and guardians arrange for transportation home.
