Jesus saved me in 1986, and led me to a church with a missions minded pastor. I sought God's will for my life and He led me to children's ministry. I was married and divorced before I was saved and never had children. God has given me a heart for children, for which I am thankful.

In the process of seeking God's will, I attended an informational meeting about Child Evangelism Fellowship. Shortly after that, I enrolled in the training and began ministry in my neighborhood. I taught my first Good News Club in 2001 at an apartment complex in Alpine, CA. For 6 years I continued teaching in Alpine as God opened doors for clubs in various apartment complexes, people's homes and mobile home parks.

In 2006, clubs began in the public schools and I began participating there. I have been actively involved with this ministry since and have seen God's faithfulness through all the years. Children can understand the gospel since it is the Holy Spirit who opens their spiritual eyes and ears. It is a privilege to be a tool in God's hand and be able to pass onto children what He teaches me. This is not always easy, but He is faithful and always with me.

I actually had never heard of CEF until I moved from Southern California to Oregon in 2007. I volunteered in a Good News Club a couple of years later and was surprised to learn that we could teach children about the Lord in a public school setting! I began working part time for CEF in Jackson County, Oregon in May of 2016 after a career in education and publishing.

Working with children has been a part of my life since I was a teenager when I began teaching Sunday school. Then I went to college to become a teacher and taught at a Christian elementary school for 10 years. I also served as a director in Awana for nearly 20 years.

My greatest joy in working for CEF is making sure our amazing volunteers have what they need to minister on the front lines to the children of Jackson County.
